Grading & Report Cards

Pomona Jr/Sr High School is committed to learning, growth and achievement for all. Our goal is to create classrooms where we know our students and challenge them as thinkers.

Pomona believes all students can achieve grade-level standards and is committed to a grading system where grades reflect content proficiency and mastery. Pomona is also committed to a system of support and practices that meet individual student needs. Grades are a progress monitoring tool that should be consistent, transparent and equitable.

To support the learning, growth and achievement of all Pomona students, PHS teachers create multiple and varied opportunities for students to demonstrate their learning, growth and skills.

All formative and summative assessments and durable skills tie to district, state and national standards, preparing our students for their futures.

Middle and High School Report Cards

For most Jeffco middle and high schools, progress reports are issued at the end of each six-week grading period with a report card issued at the end of each trimester or semester. A student's middle and high school grades can be reviewed on the district's online parent portal.

Parents of high school students may wish to view the Board policy on high school grading for details on weighted classes, class rank and grade point average.
