Pomona Jr/Sr High School opened its doors in 1974 and continues to build a strong community with a history of spirit, pride and tradition.

Starting in the 2024-2025 school year, after 50 years of excellence, Pomona will transition to a junior-senior high school serving students in grades 6 through 12. Pomona students will continue to be both challenged and supported academically and as young adults.

At the high school level, Pomona offers a wide range of Advanced Placement and concurrent credit courses, not only in core academic classes but also in our exploratory and elective classes.

At the junior high level – sixth through eighth grade – Pomona offers strong academic classes in a smaller setting while also providing robust exploratory classes in all areas.

Pomona sixth-grade students can attend Jeffco’s Outdoor Lab while students in the eighth grade have the unique opportunity to take high school classes, even earning credits toward graduation in some.

The Panther community supports its athletic teams and arts and humanities programs with a commitment to excellence.

At Pomona, students are able to EXPLORE areas of interest, ACCESS rigorous academics and learning, and APPLY this knowledge in real-world situations.
